Véronique Provencher

Véronique Provencher is a Full Professor at the School of Nutrition at Université Laval and a researcher at the Centre NUTRISS (responsible for Axis 3 – Nutrition and Society) at the Institute on Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF; director of Theme 6 – Nutrition and Society). Trained as a dietitian/nutritionist and a member of the Ordre des diététistes nutritionnistes du Québec, she has published over a hundred scientific articles in the field of dietary behaviors and public health nutrition since the beginning of her career. Her research program focuses on psychological and behavioral factors related to dietary choices and intake, as well as the evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of health promotion and prevention programs. Through her active involvement as the scientific director of the Food Quality Observatory, she is also interested in issues related to the food environment. The aim of her research program is to develop new practices in public health nutrition that promote healthy and sustainable eating habits among the population.
