Lorenzo Nissen

Lorenzo Nissen has been an Assistant Professor since 2022. In 2023 he has obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the position of Associate University Professor in the disciplinary field of Food Microbiology. He is the author of 40 scientific articles with 729 citations (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=24071718600). He received a Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology in 2008. He is an expert on functional fibers, prebiotics, hemp, colon microbiota and in vitro gut models. He is involved in omics science and multivariate statistics to study the interaction between food and gut microbiota with in vitro gut models, as MICODE (https://twitter.com/micode_lab) with Prof. A.
