Jacinthe Côté

Senior Director and Leader, Food Sector

A member of the Ordre professionnel des nutritionnistes du Québec, Jacinthe holds a master’s degree in food sciences from McGill University and a Ph.D. in biology from the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie at INRS.

As a nutritionist, she is well known to Quebec readers interested in nutrition and food. For more than 10 years, she wrote weekly columns published in several Quebec newspapers (notably La Presse, Le Soleil and La Tribune). In 2004, she published the book “Désobésité,” which discusses the prevention of overweight and obesity through nutrition.

Over the past 20 years, she has held various positions within the agri-food sector, including in research and development, in B2B marketing communications, and in strategic planning, while acting as a technical expert and spokesperson. Jacinthe now holds the position of Senior Director and Leader, Food Sector at NATIONAL. She uses her scientific expertise, insight and deep agri-food sector understanding to help farmers, as well as processors, associations, and organizations working in the agri-food sector connect to the people who matter most, with the right message, at the right time.
