I received my PhD in Sciences neurologiques at Université de Montréal (2009). I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy, University of Rochester (2009-2011) and in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2011-2012). I was subsequently recruited as an Assistant Professor of Molecular Medicine at Université Laval (starting in 2013), awarded a Tier II Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Neuroimmune Plasticity in Health and Therapy (2017), and promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure (2018). I then relocated to the Division of Medical Sciences, University of Victoria, where I was Associate Professor (2020-2023) and now Professor (since July 2023), with a Tier II CRC in Neurobiology of Aging and Cognition.
