Benoît Lamarche is the Scientific Director of the Centre Nutrition, Santé et Société (NUTRISS). He is also a full professor at Université Laval’s School of Nutrition and a research member of INAF.
Since 2018, he has been leading the NutriQuébec project, the largest food study ever conducted in Quebec. He has published over 400 scientific articles in specialized journals in the fields of nutrition and cardiometabolic health, and supervised over 70 master’s and doctoral students. He has received numerous awards, including the Founders’ Award from the Société Québécoise de lipidologie, nutrition et métabolisme and the Khush Jeejeeboy Award from the Canadian Society of Nutrition for his body of research on diet and health.
Benoît Lamarche is the author, with Jean Soulard, of two books for the general public on nutrition, health and sport. In the more distant past, he took part in the Winter Olympics in long-track speed skating (1984 and 1988).
